Hostile Beauty is a collection of interconnected stories exploring the contrast between attraction and danger, desire and consequence. Each composition presents a different perspective on the things that captivate us despite their potential to wound, from toxic relationships and obsession to ambition, temptation and self-destruction. Combining electronic textures, cinematic arrangements and driving guitar work, the album inhabits a world where nothing is quite as it first appears. Beneath every beautiful surface lies uncertainty, and behind every promise lurks a hidden cost.

Production Notes
All compositions, arrangements, performances, recording, sound design, mixing and production were undertaken by Jools under the Sound Intent project. The albums were developed within a home studio environment using a combination of digital recording technologies, software instruments, sound design techniques and electric guitar performance. While each project explores its own musical identity, a common production philosophy runs throughout the catalogue; blending cinematic atmospheres, expressive melodic content and immersive electronic textures to create emotionally driven listening experiences. Sound design plays a significant role across the releases, helping to establish the narrative, mood and character of each album. A blend of electronic, cinematic and rock influences was used throughout the production process to create contrasting musical environments that reflect the album's exploration of attraction, danger and illusion. The arrangements are designed to balance moments of beauty and tension, mirroring the duality at the heart of the project's concept.
