Sound Intent is the electronic, rock, pop, and cinematic solo project of UK guitarist and producer Jools, founded in 2011. Self-taught on guitar from the age of five and later classically trained as a chorister, his music combines strong musical foundations with modern production, atmosphere, and emotional depth. 

A fully independent project, Sound Intent is created entirely in-house. Jools oversees every stage of the creative process, from writing and arrangement through to production, mixing, mastering, and visual content. Based on the Isle of Wight, the project has released one hundred songs across eight albums, available worldwide. 

Alongside Sound Intent, Jools spent five years working as a technician for Hugh Cornwell, gaining extensive experience in professional touring and production environments. He has also performed live as a session guitarist, appeared at Jack Up The 80s Festival, and has been recognised for his arranging work by Feargal Sharkey.
